NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb (KNEP)- A new SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH has been posted for the Eastern Sandhills extending into Eastern Nebraska. North Platte is no longer under a severe weather threat but Broken Bow and Custer County is included in the Watch that goes until 5 AM. Storms in Northern Nebraska are finally coming together to form a complex and are expected to accelerate to the southeast through central and eastern parts of the state. These storm will be capable of large hail up to 2 inches and damaging wind with gusts from 70 to as strong as 90 mph. Be sure you have a way to get the lastest weather infomations as these storms will continue through the overnight.
